People attend WordCamps for a variety of reasons. In the case of Jared Banz, when he attended his first WordCamp in March, 2016, it was at the urging of a colleague, Dustin Hartzler, who happened to be a WordCamp volunteer and a WordPress expert.

Jared attended WordCamp Dayton within a month of opening his own digital marketing agency, SumoLeap. Jared decided to leap right into the fray and present a session on Local SEO, which is the art of helping local businesses rank in the top search engine results.

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

The WordCamp Cincinnati organizing committee would like to wish you and your families a safe and enjoyable Labor Day weekend. We hope you find time to rest, enjoy some sports or local fireworks, spend time with your families, or simply relax and enjoy the long weekend.

Tomorrow, August 31st, is the last day to submit a proposal to speak at WordCamp Cincinnati. We’ve received an assortment of wonderful proposals, and in this post and those in the coming weeks, we will continue to announce the speaker lineup for Cincinnati’s inaugural WordCamp in October.
